First Night in Big Boy Bed...

So last night was the first night Will was in his big boy bed and he only got up once. The first was recognized by Piper who promptly came in (I was loading the washing machine) to tell me that Will was out of his bed and on the couch watching TV. Nope, not out of the bed looking for us but just watching TV. I had to laugh about that and he acted like if he didn't move I wouldn't see him...he just looked up with this angelic face hoping I wouldn't make him go back to his bed. We walked back to his bed and he went to sleep with no other problems. About midnight I heard this thud on the monitor and waited to hear what I would hear next...crying, screaming, the pitter patter of little feet coming to my room...but nothing so I went in to check on him. He was just sitting on the floor a little confused about where he was. I comforted him and he promptly rolled over and layed down on the floor and went back to sleep like that was just a comfy as his bed. I decided to put him back in the bed to see how the rest of the night would go. All was good until his normal wake up time at about 4:30 am and he comes in with just his blanket and crawls into bed. You know the feeling when you just don't want to get up but know you should take them back to their room so it doesn't become a habit...I decided to take him back to his room. He was happy to go and even wanted to walk, not be carried, back and crawled right up into bed and went back to sleep. All in all a good first night and I am glad to have found the bed rail so tonight hopefully we won't be falling out...but it is still possible.

Progress Report - Will's First Day

So the day was fine...not great...but OK. He was very happy to see me at the end of the day to say the least. Everyone said that he didn't cry at all until I got there...go figure.

He wasn't excited to go back today but didn't cry. He held on a little longer but finally warmed up and went to play. He is super pumped about his cool backpack but can't understand why he can't wear it all the time.

A whole different attitude at the end of the day...this is Will telling me "No!" I don't want you to take my picture...but I will still wear my backpack.

Will's First Day of School

Today is Will's first day at Longmire Learning Center. It started out great and we left the paci and blanket in the car with no problem...thanks to the cool backpack and lunch kit. An update will follow after we pick him up this afternoon to see how the day actually went.
