Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow!!
So we build our first snowman. It was lots of work...according to JimBob...who did most of the work. Being that we live in Texas and don't get much cold weather, the kids didn't have many real warm clothes. Piper just loves it!

Tag!!!
Yep...you know who you are...don't think there is any hiding! Come on it will be fun...even I did it.
Tracy - I know I can always count on you.
Amanda - Just because you now have three kids, doesn't me you don't have to blog. Not an excuse...Kierstyn does it!
Leslie - Here is my chance to MAKE you blog about something! If I can't get you going by desperately wanting to know how much FUN you are having in Switzerland, I hope your love for Freddie will! ha ha
Jamison - Because Piper always wants to know what's going on in your world! She loves it when I am checking blogs because she gets to see you guys' pictures. Miss you girl!
Have Fun...and no pressure! ;)

More than you may want to know...
So I checked everyone else's blog to see if anyone that Kierstyn tagged had posted...but they hadn't. AND I will preface this with this: The only reason I am doing this now is because I am trying to stay awake until my super husband to get home from fighting crime! AND if he were home right now, I definitely would be sleeping...but these days I have a slight case of insomnia (nothing diagnosed or anything like that) but I do need a swift kick in the behind to make me go to bed most nights! I will regret it in the morning. AND Kierstyn was right...I needed something to post about.
Everything you might want to know about my husband...at least what he might be OK with me sharing:
1. Where did you meet? In my suite-mate's boyfriend's dorm room waiting to go out during Parent's Weekend...then at the Dixie Chicken. He was in the Corps of Cadets at A&M and he was a freshman. JB was a sophmore so he was mean to all my friends...needless to say it didn't matter what he said to me that night...there was NO way I was ever dating him.
2. How long did you date? Before we got engaged, almost three years and the engaged ten months.
3. How long have you been married? 7 years this past November.
4. What does he say that surprises you? Not much..but he does say quite a bit that makes me laugh.
5. What is your favorite feature of his? Smile.
6. What is your favorite quality of his? Sense of humor...even though he says he married the only woman that doesn't think he is funny.
7. Does he have a nickname for you? I say no but I'm sure he could come up with a few.
8. What is his favorite color? Green
9. What is his favorite food? Yoda mush, it reminds him of his childhood. (Can you guess what that is?) It's not really his absolute favorite because he likes so many things the list would go on forever.
10. What is his favorite sport? I guess football even though I can't stand watching it with him because he is the WORST about coaching from the couch. He would say his favorite was any sport in which you used a gun.
11. When and where did you first kiss? In the breezeway outside my dorm...isn't that romantic? It definitely wasn't a jaw dropping, heart stopping moment and he would tell you the same...like I said earlier, this was still during the time that he was trying to make up for being mean to all my friends...I know it was his job (you have to know the corps to understand) but there was still lots of sucking up to do to win me over.
12. What is your favorite thing to do as a couple? Go see a movie...well at least that used to be but now I always fall asleep during them so now we like to sit on the couch after the kids go to bed and watch our shows we have recorded. Then we complain the next day when we are tired because we stayed up to late.
13. Do you have any children? Two. Piper, 4 and William, 18 months.
14. Does he have a hidden talent? If I told you, it wouldn't be a hidden talent now would it?
15. How old is he? 30.
16. Who said "I love you" first? I actually said "I love you " first but he said "I think I'm falling in love with you" one night on the phone and then hung up before I could say anything...it didn't matter because I was speechless.
17. What is his favorite type of music? Anything and Everything...you might be surprised to what is on his iPod.
18. What do you most admire about him? Of course all of his wonderful husbandly characteristics but also that he is a true friend to his buddies.
19. Do you think he will read this? If he does, I'm sure I will here about it.
20. Where did you go on your first date? Ummm...I think we went to see a movie, play put put golf and dinner...can't remember the movie or where we ate. I know that is awful but I the couple of dates after that were much more entertaining.

Excuses, Excuses....
I could come up with a thousand excuses why I haven't been posting but the list would go on forever. I think we have been so busy that there hasn't been much excitement. Halloween was just so so...Piper was ready to pack up and go home after about five houses. She was Lucy from The Chronicles of Narnia and Will was a last minute dragon (that was 2 sizes too big). It snuck up on me and Will's costume wasn't all that great. He was totally cute but he was not about wearing the head part for long. Oh and by the way, I didn't get any good pictures. Here are a few.
Enough already...I've had Enough!!

2nd Annual Trip to the Pumpkin Patch
We made our second annual trip to the pumpkin patch with Uncle Luke & Caitlyn. Last year they took Piper to pick out pumpkins. She had so much fun and I couldn't wait to go again this year with Will. Piper tried to pick up EVERY pumpkin while Will tried to THROW every pumpkin that he could pick up.
Then we came home and Uncle Luke cooked us some awesome chili and the pumpkin carving began. The kiddos dug in the pumpkin goo but weren't up for that long. They were ready to see the finished project. This year we got much more creative than just a plain jack 'o lantern and we thought we could do better than that this year. We got us some pumpkin carving kits and picked out designs. It was fun but took longer than we expected...but worth it. Luke made a wolf on his...but cut off the nose...poor mister wolf. His is the red pumpkin. Caitlyn's is a ghost in a cemetery and mine is a cat....and you can tell what Piper's was. It does look like she ate the inside of the pumpkin but it is really princess spaghetti o's.
Thanks Uncle Luke and Caitlyn for the fun time and wonderful memories. We love you both!!

Will's Favorite Lizard
Like I said previously, Will is my outside boy who loves everything boy. While our lizard friend that lived on the back porch for a while is MIA, we still look for him everytime we go outside. We made a new friend in Aransas Pass while visiting for Autumn and Abby's birthday. This is Abby's daddy, Nick and their iguana, who Will ABSOLUTELY loved!! Seems like a lizard might be one of our future pets...I guess we'll see.

Birthday Parties
This weekend we went to Aransas Pass for Autumn and Abby's birthdays. We were so excited about the fun we were going to have! Autumn and I became great friends during college on our trip to Europe. Since then we have been the best of friends even though we live pretty far away from each other. Also, Abby is three months younger than Piper so they are super friends too.
Back to the trip...we piled into the Sequoia and off we went...only an hour behind schedule. Now it usually is about a 4 hour trip but much to our dismay it took quite a bit longer. On this journey was me, Piper, Will, Stacy (Autumn's cousin and my good friend that lives here in Bryan, her son, Jaxson...who just turned 2, and Stacy's mom, Ginger (Autumn's aunt). I was pretty proud of us for getting us all in with all our stuff and not feeling like we were packed in like sardines. Off we went with the boys watching a movie and Piper in the very back with her own stuff...she was set...I made her a bucket 'o stuff with markers, coloring books, snacks, her travel computer, dolls, bottles, snacks, drinks, wipes, napkins and her own trash bag...oh yeah, she also had a DVD player that was Stacy's that had headphones. She thought that was fabulous. The trip wouldn't have been so bad if the boys were able to be more content but they were always wanting something...something to eat, a drink, a different movie, or Will would take Jax's blanket and make him mad so Jax would touch Will and so forth. The movies were good for a while but the boys got tire but not tired enough to be able to go to sleep. Will had a blow out in the middle of no where and we all had to suffer the consequences of that one. We should have stopped at the McDonald's in Schulenburg but thought for sure there would be another McD's with a playground in one of the next little towns...there weren't so they couldn't play off any energy. We made it in almost 6 hours and were glad to get there...at almost 11:00 pm...way past every one's bed time. Piper and Abby were so excited to see each other and couldn't wait to get in their dress up and play...but that would have to wait. Need sleep for the big day tomorrow.
Abby's birthday was awesome! Autumn had a "Princess" come to paint faces, ponies to ride, a pinata, cool prizes, a sand box, a bubble blowing grill and an awesome unicorn cake that she made herself!! It was a hit. A funny story: The princess got there in her tiara and ball gown and got ready to paint faces. She was talking to Abby and was calling her "Madame" because she was definitely into her roll of being a princess...which the girls loved. Anyway, Abby...who is totally cute and brilliant said..."My name isn't Adam, it's Abby!" We all cracked up laughing because that was pure Abby right there. From that point forward the princess had to correct herself and make sure she called Abby by her name. Totally cute!
The kids had so much fun and Will was covered in bubbles and sand from the minute he walked out the door...and was in heaven, especially when the ponies showed up. I couldn't keep my kids off of them. After Abby's party, we had a dinner party for Autumn. It was sort of a surprise...she knew we were all having dinner at her mom's but she didn't know it was really a celebration for her. Autumn turned the big 30 this year and is celebrating by going to the New Kids on the Block concert...and going back stage. She is super excited and most of us think it's kind of quirky but only Autumn could make the NKOTB seem cool. It was fun and took us back to our youth b/c we played trivia and her mom had all her old things she collected...dolls, comic books, music, a puzzle and such. We had a fabulous time and wished we could have stayed longer. Our trip back home was much more uneventful and the boys napped some of the way so it was much more peaceful.

**On another note: As you all know, Will loves lizards and Autumn's hubby, Nick loves lizards too. They have quite a few lizards and snakes and such at their house...the big iguana was Will's favorite. Nick even showed Will his special lizards that not many other people get to see! Thanks Nick for making Will feel super special this weekend! He loved them all.
