Ice Skating & Bowling

Autumn and Abby were in for the weekend and a couple of extra days during spring break. Though we had lots of extra time compared to what we normally have, we decided to pack it all into one day...not really sure why but it worked out! Abby is ready to be an ice skating princess so we started our day with open skate at Artic Wolf. The little boys were not as excited about this but with a little encouragement had a little fun. They enjoyed watching the zambonie the best! The girls spent quite a bit of time on the ice...but not on their skates. They had lots of fun and we definitely will have to go back.

Then we decided to go bowling! What an adventure...especially with my little drama queen who finally decided that bowling was OK but really wanted to get a STRIKE or it was no fun. I had to keep reminding her that like everything else it took practice. Check out the outfit...she is great!! They hooked her up with matching crazy shoes!

AND then after that....we introduced them all to SPOONS! our new favoirte "ice cream" place...really frozen yogurt but it is AWESOME!!! Everyone should try it.

The Baby Chicks

We are on a new adventure...raising chickens. JB and a friend thought it would be a learning experience and exciting to build a chicken coop and raise chickens to have fresh eggs. They thought it would also be a way to start teaching the kids responsibility and self sustanance....a small part...but it never hurts to start somewhere.

So we have had the chicks since last Thursday and they are still around. Piper and Will love to hold them but I still fear that they will be dropped or crushed by their little hands....dropped by Piper or smushed by Will. So far so good!!!

Gingerbread Houses 2009

Once again, the joys of having a great brother who always loves my children...thanks Luke, we love you!!!

Luke and Caitlyn brought over the gingerbread houses to decorate again this year. I have completely turned it over to them because I really have a hard time enjoying it because it totally stresses me out! The kids loved it and ate lots of candy...and even left some for the houses.

Luke constructing his house...mentally preparing for the competition. :)

The girls...taking a minute from construction to pose for the camera.

More candy....all you can eat...even after mom said "no more."

A work in progress...looking pretty amazing!

The girls finished work! Will helped a little too but he was more interested in eating instead of decorating.

Piper and Will with Uncle Luke. Will had a hard time keeping his little fingers out of the candy tray...and most pictures were of him sneaking it...but we got this one.

Growling....hmmm....not really sure why...but they thought it was fun!

5 Fat Turkeys & Give Peace A Try

These aren't the greatest quality but still fun.

My Little Indian

Monday was Grandparents/Family Day at Creekview for Piper. Also, the kindergarten classes had a Thanksgiving presentation and sang lots of songs they learned. It was a mad house trying to get parked and get into the school because there were so many people...I should have just gone home and walked. Piper did great and is still singing all her "turkey" songs. I'm gonna try to break up the video and get it on here but they were too cute!

Will and His New Shoes

So we bought Will some new tennis shooes on Friday and he hasn't taken them off since. It is quite amusing because he even took a nap in them. Shirt, undies and shoes....I can't stop laughing!
